“The experience was great. To be able to sit in a room with that many different police officers from all different areas and just get their perspective on their fears and the dangers that they face dealing with the community was tremendous but also to voice ours, as a community, our fears and our concerns. We find out that both sides have these fears that they have been dealing with for years. They can stem from how you were raised and your involvement with officers at an early age that go on through your adult life. To hear their stories. And a lot of them come from a tough life and they become a police officer to help out. But to have a forum like Game Changers to have that open dialogue i think is tremendous…
…I said it tonight. My best friend is a police officer. I have family members that are police officers. So I have these type of conversations. It was good to hear from some officers, I didn’t know. I didn’t know their background. I haven’t been friends or family with. To find out they’re all the same. They have the same fears and worries, as we all do.”

Are You A Game Changer?
Game Changer is a movement bringing together community members, law enforcement, judicial and legislative branches of government for moderated focus groups. Together we discuss community problems and devise solutions. Dinner and event tickets are provided. Pre and Post perception surveys are completed to generate data to be used to navigate toward change.
Be a part of the conversation, be a part of the solution. Contact Game Changer if you would like to make a donation, host an event or participate in a focus group.
